Crystal Mountain Resort & Surrounding Northwest Michigan Attractions

Crystal Mountain Resort Amenities & Attractions:

Crystal Mountain is a multiple award winning, year round family resort that is ranked the #1 resort in the midwest by Ski Magazine. Winter months offer all sorts of great skiing, snow boarding, ice skating, world class cross country skiing, and snowshoeing on the resort property.  There are an amazing 45 exhilarating slopes, terrain parks and halfpipe, 40 plus kilometers of northern Michigan cross country ski trails, award winning kids' programs, and nationally certified ski and snowboard school. A ski van comes around every half hour to pick up guests right from our two Crystal Mountain vacation homes to take you to the lodge. The kids will love seeing the dressed up resort characters skiing on the hills.

In the evenings, enjoy a dinner in your spacious home or at one of the fine resort restaurants, enjoy the indoor pool and hot tub, work out room, or cuddle up with your loved ones during a memorable horse drawn sleigh ride.

The popular Thistle Pub & Grille is open year round for lunch and dinner, and so is Wildflower, which is open daily for breakfast, and again for dinner. Wildflower is located in The Lodge. Little Betsie Bistro is also located in The Lodge, featuring pizza, subs, sandwiches and drinks. The Beach House is open over the summer so guests can grab a bite to eat poolside, within the Park at Water's Edge.

In the warmer seasons Crystal offers two top golf courses to meet every ability. An award winning golf academy provides several sessions to really spice up your game. Kids play free after 4 pm on the Benzie Valley golf course. Crystal Mountain's Mountain Ridge golf course offers panoramic vistas of this beautiful area. The fairways wind through stately forests, ascending to high elevations, providing a true northern Michigan golf experience. Crystal Mountain's Betsie Valley golf course, which recently underwent nearly a million dollar renovation, challenges the golfers with its protected greens, tree lined fairway and the challenging bunkers.

The Park at Water's Edge is a one-acre, outdoor water playground that kids and adults of all ages will love. The highlight of this water park is the 4,200 square-foot pool, which offers a water playground structure with everything from bubbling and spouting water features, to the lily pad, and water slide. The Park also features a 32-foot climbing wall, a sand play area, and a year round large 15 person outdoor hot tub.

If you don't bring your own bikes, there are lots of bikes available for rental, and plenty of biking trails. Regular family trips to unique points of interest are also offered through the resort.

Experience the Michigan Legacy Art Park, a unique 30-acre "art gallery" that features a variety of artwork nestled along a woodland trail. The Art Park's aim is to integrate art and nature in an ecologically sensitive environment. Over 35 works of art dot the trails, which can be viewed year round on foot, cross-country skis or even on snowshoes. In the summer, the Michigan Legacy Art Park features concerts in the Park's outdoor amphitheatre.
